NBA: Kyshawn George could not stop the eternal LeBron James

LeBron James (40 years old) had another full game in the NBA, with 21 points, 10 rebounds and 13 assists, to contribute to the easy success of the Los Angeles Lakers against the Washington Wizards (111-88) on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday . This is his 121st triple-double in the regular season, the ninth this season.

James, well accompanied by Anthony Davis (29 points, 16 rebounds), is even only the second 40-year-old to achieve a triple-double after Karl Malone with the… Lakers in 2003.

On the Washington side, Kyshawn George (21) came off the bench but was entitled to the third most playing time on his team, with 31 minutes. But the Valais winger, continuing his season, was clumsy in shooting (2/7 including 1/6 from three points, for a total of 28.6% success). He finished with 8 points, 5 assists, 2 rebounds and 1 block.

The Wizards, beaten for the 11th time in a row, sink to last place in the Eastern Conference, with the worst record in the league (6 wins, 36 losses).

Among the other matches of the night, the New York Knicks beat their neighbors the Brooklyn Nets for the ninth time in a row (95-99) including 25 points, 16 rebounds and 6 assists from Karl-Anthony Towns, who arrived at the offseason. OG Anunoby added 20 points and Jalen Brunson 17, compared to 23 points from Lakers defector D’Angelo Russell. The Knicks remain 3rd in the East (29-16) and the Nets 12th (14-30).

The Philadelphia 76ers lost a seventh game in a row by taking a slap on the floor of the Denver Nuggets (144-109). The latter, champions in 2023, were carried by a new triple-double from Nikola Jokic (27 points, 13 rebounds, 10 assists), the fourth in a row for last season’s MVP. The Sixers are in 11th place in the East (15-27), when Denver records its seventh victory in eight matches and consolidates its 4th place in the West (27-16).
