(Philadelphia) Rasmus Ristolainen scored in overtime and the Philadelphia Flyers defeated the Detroit Red Wings 2-1 on Tuesday night.

Ristolainen only had to push a loose puck behind the goal line with only 26 seconds left on the clock. Red Wings defenseman Moritz Seider tried to clear the puck from his goalie’s semi-circle, but it stuck on the post and Ristolainen took advantage.
Joel Farabee scored the other goal for the Flyers, who won their third straight game and five of their last six. Samuel Ersson made 27 saves.
Ben Chiarot scored the only goal for the Red Wings, who lost a third straight game and four of their last five. Alex Lyon stopped 24 pucks.
The Red Wings will begin a three-game homestand on Thursday, which will begin against the Montreal Canadiens. Only five points separate the two teams in the standings.
The Habs won the first two meetings between the two teams this season.
Lafrenière and Shesterkin star in Rangers win
Alexis Lafrenière had a goal and an assist on Tuesday, helping the New York Rangers win 5-0 against the Ottawa Senators.
Lafrenière took advantage of a rebound to score his 13e goal of the season, with 1:12 left in the first period.
Arthur Kaliyev, Matt Rempe, Artemi Panarin and Will Cuylle were the other scorers.
Adam Fox had two assists for the Rangers, who have won their last three home games.
Igor Shesterkin made 20 saves. He recorded his third shutout this season, an 18e in career.
Ottawa was 5-0-1 since January 11.
The Senators will visit the Boston Bruins on Thursday night.
