An unbearable wait. After the release of Doron Steinbrecher, Emily Damari and Romi Gonen from the hands of Hamas terrorists, hope is reborn among the hostage families.
However, among some of the members who gathered at Place des Otages in Tel Aviv, uncertainty around the conditions of their loved ones remains.
“The only sign of life we have of him dates back to December 2023, in a video taken by the terrorists, and since then, nothing,” Yaïr Moses, son of Gadi Moses, an octogenarian on the list of victims, told CNEWS. hostages held in Gaza.
“He is on the list of 33 hostages soon to be released”
The man explains that he has not cut his hair or shaved since his father was taken hostage. “We are not sure if he is alive, we hope to see him again soon. I never imagined that I would have this beard for so long,” Yaïr confided, vowing to shave when his father returned to him.
-The latter was kidnapped by Hamas during the pogrom of October 7, 2023, while he was located in the kibbutz of Nir Oz, separated by a handful of kilometers from Gaza.
Still according to Yaïr, Gadi Moses is on the list of Israeli hostages supposed to be released during the first phase of the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Gaza, scheduled for six weeks.
Including the first three Israeli women released on Sunday, 30 other captives are expected to return to their families in the coming weeks.
