The TLA hosted the Mazères Cassagne Sport team for the penultimate day of the qualifying phases of pool 2 in regional 1. The MCS, which had just ceded 1st place in the pool to Racing Club de Trèbes following its short defeat on the lands of Union Canton Saint-Lys, had announced that it would make a blow on this trip to Aucamville. From the 5th minute, the MCS launched a first attack on the 22 meters of the TLA. Raufast scored the first try almost between the poles, transformed by Souquet. The TLA team had to react to this complicated start. The MCS systematically put pressure on the Aucamvillois rear, struggling in their receptions with a capricious wind. The MCS would get the opportunity to increase the score with a penalty from Souquet in the 8th minute, bringing the score to 10-0. However, those were the only points MCS scored before halftime. The TLA, reinforced by a more aggressive defense, reduced the score with a penalty from Wastjer. The match would be balanced with a predominant defensive game. At halftime, the score remained 10-3 in favor of MCS. The second half would be decisive. In the 53rd minute, on a scrum exit, Souquet was blocked by Pellerin who left alone for 1 try between the posts; the try converted by Wastjer put the two teams tied at 10-10. This try was probably the turning point of the match. From then on, the TLA would courageously defend its territory. The club regained the advantage and won. Both teams showed exemplary commitment and fair play, facilitating the work of referee Mathias Theillaumas who was impeccable. The reserve team consolidated its 2nd place in the group with a 49-13 victory with 6 tries. For the last qualifying match on March 12, the TLA XV will make a perilous trip to US Canton Saint-Lys.
