Chinese miner Zijin restarts gold production in major Colombian project following attack – 01/20/2025

Chinese mining group Zijin Mining Group has resumed gold production at its Buritica project in Colombia, a company source told Reuters on Monday, after a disruption in operations triggered by an attack by an armed group during the weekend.

Buritica is the largest gold mine in the South American country.
