The Panama national team has revealed its squad for the next friendly match against Universitario of Peru, scheduled for January 24.
Coach Thomas Christiansen has selected a group of 22 players, combining talents playing abroad and stars of the Panamanian Football League (LPF).
The selected players will complete a final training session before their departure for Peru. This session will take place today, January 20, at the Rommel Fernández Gutiérrez Stadium from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
After training, the players will stay in a local hotel while awaiting their flight scheduled for tomorrow morning to Peruvian territory.
The delegation, made up of the team and technical staff, is expected to fly to Lima on Tuesday, January 21, in preparation for their meeting with the two-time champions of Peru on January 24, an event known as Noche Crema 2025 .
-This meeting will mark the first match of the year for the national team.
After this match, Coach Christiansen’s team will also prepare for a second friendly match which will take place on Saturday, February 8, against the Chilean national team at the Santiago National Stadium.
These two meetings are crucial stages for the Panamanian selection with a view to significant commitments in 2025, notably the Final Four in March and the qualifications for the World Cup and the Gold Cup in June.
