Party Secretary General Tô Lâm attended a ceremony in Hanoi on Monday, January 20 to announce the winners of the 9th edition of the Journalistic Prize on Party Building – Prize Bua Liem Vang (Golden hammer and sickle) 2024.
The organizing committee of the 9e edition of the Journalistic Award on Party Building received 2,544 applications, an increase of 15% compared to the previous one.
The Party leader expressed his joy to learn that the Prize had continued to achieve exceptional results in quantity and quality, demonstrating the active and proactive response of media outlets and journalists’ associations, as well as the enthusiastic participation of many authors and groups of authors at central and local levels.

He affirmed that in recent times, the press has widely and effectively publicized the Party’s major policies and directions regarding the “New Era”, the restructuring of the political apparatus and the efforts and determination to eliminate “bottlenecks “which hinder the development of the country.
The revolutionary press has clearly demonstrated its role in guiding thoughts and accompanying the Party in important stages, helping to spread confidence, responsibility and aspirations for development among people of all classes, he said .
Secretary General Tô Lâm indicated that these contributions are not only the result of creative work but also a testimony to the courage, intelligence and social responsibility of the press in accomplishing its historic mission.
-He recognized and appreciated the outstanding contributions of media outlets nationwide, especially those covering Party building work.
Stressing that the most important task in 2025 is to successfully realize the goals and plans set for the 2021-2025 period, thereby laying the foundation for breakthroughs in the next term, he stressed that journalism focused on Party building must actively contribute to making the Party increasingly healthy, strong and worthy of its responsibility and its historic mission of leading the nation in development during the new era.
The press must closely follow political tasks and major issues of the Party and the country to focus on comprehensive, deep and effective communication with clear priorities and accents, he said.
