Justice provided several details about the stabbing attack, during which three people were injured, during the night from Saturday to Sunday. The judicial authority requested the opening of an investigation for “attempted murder, otherwise intentional assault and battery”.

According to information from RTLwhich we are able to confirm, the two suspects arrested are the American professional basketball players Londell King (27 years old, US Heffingen) and Leon Ayers III (24 years old, Residence Walferdange). Although it does not communicate the names of the two players, the prosecution confirms the detention of a 27-year-old man. The second, aged 24, was placed under judicial supervision.

According to information reported by Luxembourg justice, a fight broke out around 4:45 a.m. in front of a nightclub in Limperstberg, avenue de la Faïcenrie, during which “three people were injured by a bladed weapon”. The two suspects then fled before being arrested by police, while two injured people were taken to hospital. “The victims’ vital prognosis is not in jeopardy,” reassures the prosecution, which specifies that the investigation is continuing.

The judicial authority also recalls the principle of preemption of innocence. Born in Tallahassee, Florida, power forward Londell King was educated at Morehead University in Kentucky. Leon Ayers III, point guard, is from Troy, Michigan. After attending Bowling Green University, he quickly established himself in Luxembourg, where he is currently the top scorer in the Total League.
