This Monday, start of the European week. UEFA has appointed the referee who will lead the match between PSG and Manchester City on Wednesday evening, and it is Polish Szymon Marciniak.
The shock arrives and the first official announcements begin to fall! Two days before the long-awaited Paris Saint-Germain – Manchester City, UEFA has formalized Szymon Marciniak on the whistle, as the main referee of this match of the 7th day of the Champions League league phase.
The Polish referee in 51 matches in the Champions League, and who officiated during the 2022 World Cup final between France and Argentina, will be accompanied by two Polish compatriots Tomasz Listkiewicz and Adam Kupsik. Damian Kos was appointed fourth official. VAR will be monitored by Tomasz Kwiatkowski and Tiago Martins.
-Already called upon for three Champions League matches this season, Szymon Marciniak was the referee for PSG – Atlético de Madrid in November, during which Paris lost at the very last second at the Parc des Princes (1-2).
In his career, the Pole has refereed six Parisians matches in C1, for three victories, a draw and two defeats. A report which will be modified on Wednesday evening, after the meeting.
