Douarnenez won this match thanks to a very good first period, including
Le Saos in midfield and Le Lec, excellent recuperator throughout the game. The opening score came for the Douarnenistes at (8′), following a corner, after two saves from Quimperlois on the line: with a header then a foot, Calvez found the fault. Pichavant doubled the lead (12′) following good work on Calvez’s side. Pennec, the Quimper goalkeeper had to relax to get Le Lec’s shot out of the top corner (39′). Apart from a header from Milliou, few opportunities for the Quimperlois who left the impression of having missed this first period, which will give them regrets.
Rouzic hat-trick for Quimperlé
However with this 2-0 at half-time and the third goal scored by Leroux (47′), the Quimperlois had the courage to come back to the score through Rouzic (3-1, 50′) and he doubled the lead (60′ ) for an encouraging 3-2. The Douarnenistes had chances through Le Saos (64′) and Belbeoch (70′), each time Pennec saved his side, and gave his team hope of coming back but he could do nothing about the penalty from Le Saos 4- 2 (82′). Quimperlé reduced the gap through Rouzic (90′) in a mix-up for a final 4-3.
