Morocco is reaping the fruits of its visa digitalization strategy.

Indeed, the report published by the Ministry of Tourism, Crafts and the Social and Solidarity Economy gives the figures.

Concretely, with nearly 386,000 electronic visas issued since the launch of the system in July 2022, this digitalization is a real success for Morocco.

This initiative, which aimed to strengthen the tourist attractiveness of the kingdom, therefore shows particularly encouraging results.

Better yet, tourism represents 95% of electronic visas granted, confirming the positive impact of this measure on the sector.

In 2024, the system even recorded an increase of 6% compared to the previous year, with a monthly average of 13,500 visas issued.

The month of November 2024 marked a record with 16,900 electronic visas granted.

India is positioned as the first beneficiary of this system with 36,690 electronic visas issued, an increase of 52% compared to 2023.

Other emerging markets are also showing spectacular growth: Pakistan has doubled its visa numbers, while Nigeria and Egypt have seen increases of 36% and 45%, respectively.

Ultimately, by simplifying entry formalities into its territory, Morocco is strengthening its positioning as a major tourist destination, allowing travelers to more easily discover its cultural and natural heritage.
