Paddy Pimblett drags rival into violent altercation after controversial chokehold

UFC star Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett has ended his social media feud with a rival in a very blunt way.

This clash between Pimblett and Dennis Frimpong, who has a professional mixed martial arts (MMA) record of 3-2, was sparked when the latter launched a dig at the Liverpool fighter.

One fan had expressed hope of seeing Pimblett on the UFC London card in March – a later announcement revealed he would not be taking part. In response, Frimpong said: “He won’t be fit for the Vegas event, let alone the London one.”

Pimblett, no doubt having become aware of Frimpong’s comment, reacted. The two men then exchanged messages online before deciding to resolve their differences in a concrete way.

He went to Manchester Top Team, Frimpong’s training center, to end their disagreement.

Neither wore helmets, emphasizing the seriousness of their training as they exchanged blows and kicks with serious intent, although they did use shin guards.

Their exchanges aroused the interest of the other fighters present, including Molly McCann, who had gathered to observe the scene.

The two athletes exchanged several blows, but when Frimpong missed a straight right, it signaled the beginning of the end for him.

Pimblett effectively dodged Frimpong’s blow and knocked him to the ground.

After a fight on the ground, Pimblett gained the upper hand and began throwing punches at Frimpong, who was struggling to push him away.

Quickly, Pimblett took his opponent’s back, turning the situation into a matter of time before ending the fight.

Realizing he had no other option, Frimpong had to give up.

However, Pimblett, clearly wanting to send a message, was slow to release his grip.

This required the intervention of several witnesses to convince him to release his grip.

The tension was palpable, and a brief scuffle broke out among the spectators, although it did not escalate.

Once the sides were separated, Pimblett and Frimpong hugged each other to signify the end of their rivalry.

Although Pimblett is not on the London card scheduled for March 22, his fight with Frimpong proved that he is in excellent shape as he awaits his next clash.

The 30-year-old hasn’t fought since his submission victory over King Green, also known as Bobby Green, at UFC 304 last July.

With an impressive 22-3 record, Pimblett remains on a six-fight winning streak in the UFC.
