The inhabitants of the Isle of Beauty will have to remain on their guard. Météo-France has placed two departments on orange alert for the risk of rain-flooding this Sunday.

In this vein, Météo-France announced an “episode of heavy rain” in the east of the island. “It is the duration of the sustained rains as well as their fairly extensive geographical area, more than their occasional intensity which makes this event an event requiring very particular vigilance,” explained the meteorologists.

On the coastal side, stormy precipitation is also expected. During the night from Saturday to Sunday, these will continue “in a fairly strong continuous manner” during the day on Sunday.

The meteorological agency finally indicated that “these rains will move away at the end of the day” this Sunday.
