The lifeless body of a woman was found at her home, located in Luçon (Vendée), the Roche-sur-Yon public prosecutor’s office said this Saturday, January 18. Her drunken husband confessed to the murder.
Friday, “the Cambrai police station (North) was informed thata drunken man, aged 61, revealed that he had killed his partner at the latter’s home in Luçon”, announced the public prosecutor of La Roche-sur-Yon in a press release.
On site, the police discovered the lifeless body of the victim, aged 69. In police custody, the man “admitted to having strangled and suffocated his partner on January 16 following an argument“, specified the magistrate. The spouse confessed on the evening of Friday, while he was at Cambrai hospital, in a state of drunkenness, according to sources within the gendarmerie.
An investigation into spousal murder has been opened. The Cambrai public prosecutor’s office relinquished the investigation in favor of that of La Roche-sur-Yon.
