Israeli-Palestinian conflict – Rally in Paris for Gaza hostages
On a square in the Trocadéro, opposite the Eiffel Tower, renamed “place of hostages”, a counter has been installed, counting the 470 days, hours, minutes and seconds spent in detention by Israeli captives of the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas.
Among those present, some held up photos of the hostages, under a red banner saying: “kidnapped”, or “kidnapped”.
Of 251 people kidnapped on October 7, 2023 during Hamas’ unprecedented attack on Israel, 94 are still hostages in Gaza, 34 of whom died according to the Israeli army.
