On January 20, French far-right political figures will travel to Washington to attend Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony at the White House. Among them, Louis Sarkozy, Éric Zemmour, Sarah Knafo, and Marion Maréchal.

For the second time, Donald Trump is preparing to be inaugurated as President of the United States in Washington. On January 20, the president-elect will officially succeed Joe Biden following his victory in the American presidential elections. On that date, he will become the 47th President of the United States and will resume his responsibilities as head of state at the White House. For his inauguration ceremony, Donald Trump invited numerous personalities, notably former American presidents, as well as Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Mark Zuckerberg, but also French far-right political figures. Louis Sarkozy, who has appeared several times in the media to comment on the American election, will be present.

Marion Maréchal also confirmed her presence at the ceremony where she will be able to meet her former ally, Éric Zemmour, as well as her European Parliament colleague Sarah Knafo. The National Rally was also invited. Thus, Louis Alliot, MEP Julien Sanchez and Alexandre Sabatou will also fly across the Atlantic. However, Marine Le Pen, who has just lost her father Jean-Marie Le Pen, will not be there, just like Jordan Bardella. For his part, the French ambassador to the United States, Laurent Bili, will attend the ceremony, while Éric Ciotti preferred to decline the invitation. President Emmanuel Macron will also be absent since he will be in Ille-et-Vilaine to present his wishes to the Armed Forces.
