He arrived in Hérault in 2016. Nine years later, South African international second-row (or third) Nicolaas Janse van Rensburg will leave the MHR to return to the country at the end of the season. The 30-year-old player, appreciated by Joan Caudullo’s staff who would have liked to keep him, will leave a year before the end of his contract. Van Rensburg wants to return home, in particular to give himself every chance of wearing the Boks jersey 4 years after his only and last selection, against Argentina in August 2021. He was recalled, without playing, last summer for the Championship.

Van Rensburg has already found his home base: the Bulls, where he launched his career. Number 4 or 6 gave his agreement to the leaders of the Pretoria team. Since 2016, he has played 170 matches with MHR, including 7 this season.
