An affair which could tarnish his image, several months after his death. Indeed, the Markovic affair, dating from 1968, has just resurfaced. The fault lies in a secret note until now, never included in the investigation file, which has just resurfaced as announced by our colleagues at Parisian. A note which would directly implicate Alain Delon.
As a reminder, in 1968, the body of Stevan Markovic, a Yugoslav national employed by Alain Delon as a bodyguard, was found murdered with a bullet to the head by investigators. At the time, the investigation revealed that the bodyguard had tried to blackmail his employer.
A 57-year-old affair
Indeed, Stevan Markovic would have revealed compromising documents in which several names appeared at the heart of fine parts as relayed by our colleague Clément Garin. While the case, 57 years later, has still not been clarified, it could be reopened by the courts.
Because a note, revealed by a certain Misha Slovenac, has just appeared as announced The Parisian. This would directly involve Alain Delon, according to information from our colleagues. Misha Slovenac would not be a complete stranger in this affair.
He would have added to the file a first note in 1970 indicating the chronology of events “which, according to him, led to the assassination of the Yugoslav national”. “In one of them, we learn in particular that on September 22, the date when Markovic left Alain Delon’s house where he resided and never reappeared”underlines Clément Garin before specifying that the man had a meeting planned with a certain François Marcantoni with whom he was to do business.
The new note which would involve Alain Delon
In the new note revealed by Misha Slovenac we learn that Alain Delon would indeed have a supposed link with the death of his bodyguard and blackmailer.
-According to the daily, Misha and Alain Delon spoke in a room. The actor who died on August 18, 2024 would then have asked his counterpart if his blackmailer owned “something else” to put pressure on him.
Misha then allegedly told him that the blackmailer, despite the money paid to silence him, “will come back to the charge very quickly”. “He’ll never come back to attack again then!”would have retorted Alain Delon. It remains to be seen whether justice will reopen the case with the appearance of these new elements.
