Erling Haaland extends his adventure with Manchester City until 2034

Manchester City has formalized the contract extension of Erling Haaland until June 2034. News which reinforces the future of the Norwegian striker, already the author of exceptional performances since his arrival in 2022.

Arriving from Borussia Dortmund in 2022, Erling Haaland has continued to dazzle the Etihad Stadium. This Friday, January 17, Manchester City decided to extend its contract for nine and a half years, until 2034. A long-term lease which proves the importance of the player who represents the present and future of the club.

In two and a half seasons, the Norwegian played 126 matches for the Skyblues, scoring 111 goals. During his first season, he made an impression with 52 goals in all competitions, including 36 in the Premier League, a historic record in the competition.

This season, he continues his momentum with 16 goals in 21 league games, adding five goals in the Champions League. These impressive statistics demonstrate his key role in City’s success. Haaland was notably the architect of the historic treble in 2023, when Manchester City won the Premier League, the Champions League and the FA Cup, followed by the UEFA Super Cup.

On an individual level, the Norwegian was crowned Premier League Golden Boot in 2023 and won the PFA and Premier League Player of the Year titles.
