The ACB (Association of Clubs) has reached an agreement with Iberia Express to become the official airline of the Copa del Rey and the Minicopa Endesa, which will take place next February in Gran Canaria.

With this partnership, Iberia Express joins one of the major sporting events that will be held this year in Gran Canaria, thus strengthening its commitment to the island. The airline is now the official supplier of both competitions, participating in the fixture draw scheduled for Tuesday 21 January.

Iberia Express will be present at all Copa del Rey and Minicopa Endesa matches, and will also be responsible for transporting the official trophy to the island. “We are delighted to organize the Copa del Rey; Gran Canaria is the ideal place to host this competition, and we are very eager to accompany the fans during this great celebration of Spanish basketball,” said Isabel Rodríguez, director commercial of Iberia Express.

The airline offers a true air gateway between Madrid and Gran Canaria, with flights covering all time slots and offering optimal connections from major Spanish airports to make travel easier for fans.

The Copa del Rey will bring together the eight best teams from the first half of the Liga Endesa from February 13 to 16 in Gran Canaria, who will compete in the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final. At the same time, the Minicopa Endesa will take place from February 12 to 16 with youth teams (13 and 14 years old) from eight ACB clubs.

This event, considered the great celebration of basketball fans, will attract thousands of fans from various destinations who will gather on the island to enjoy the festive and unique atmosphere of the Copa del Rey.
