Domenico Tedesco will no longer be the coach of the Red Devils.
No surprise in this announcement: Domenico Tedesco is sacked from the Red Devils. This is what the Rossel group announced this Friday. A C4 which was recorded after a meeting this morning of the Sports Committee of the Federation. After 45 days of evaluation by Vincent Mannaert, the new sports director of the Federation, the Italian-German is leaving, but not for free. In fact, he leaves for just over 1 million euros, a little less than two years after his appointment, ending a contract which ran until 2026.
If the appointment of Vincent Mannaert was decisive in this process, the coach’s results got the better of him. After a very encouraging start, with no defeats until last summer, the young coach had a very complicated Euro with Belgium. From now on, we must find a new coach to guide this group towards 2026. A group which will perhaps find Thibaut Courtois who was at odds with the former coach of Spartak Moscow. Two names are currently emerging to replace him with Thierry Heny and Rudi Garcia. The name of the lucky winner should be announced by the end of January.
