Lady Gaga to headline FireAid charity concert in support of victims

Among the American artists cited, several very big names in music, such as Lady Gaga.

The interpreter of Diseasewhose new album is due to be unveiled sometime in 2025, is among others announced alongside Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas, singers Katy Perry, Pink and Gwen Stefani, but also the new pop revelation Gracie Abrams.

Several groups, including pop rock legends Green Day, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers will also be there. Just like Sting, Rod Stewart, Joni Mitchell and the band Earth Wind & Fire. That’s not all. According to CNN, the list is expected to grow in the coming days.

The concert is scheduled to take place on January 30 in two large venues in Los Angeles, the Kia Forum and Intuit Dome. In the United States it will be broadcast on TV and radio, while in the rest of the world it will be possible to watch it through certain streaming platforms, including Netflix and Prime Video. In France, the name of the person who acquired the broadcasting rights has not yet been communicated.

Through the appeals for donations, the goal of FireAid is to raise funds to support urgent efforts and initiatives aimed at preventing future disasters due to fires in California, specifies the press release on Instagram.

Rather than singing, other stars announced they were making a donation. This is the case of Taylor Swift who, without specifying the amount, declared in a story this Thursday: “ So much suffering, loss and destruction. » Several celebrities before her have done the same, like Beyoncé, Paris Hilton, Jamie Lee Curtis and Eva Longoria.

As of Thursday, the fires were still not under control. Over the past ten days, they have caused at least 24 deaths and destroyed more than 12,000 buildings for damage estimated at several tens of billions of dollars. Los Angeles is not out of the woods. After the wind, its inhabitants will have to expect to face other bad weather. City officials are expecting winter rainstorms that could cause mudslides.
