On the eve of the implementation of the second agreement between Israel and Hamas, the number of hostages still held in the Gaza Strip stands at 98 people. Here is the complete inventory of their situation.
First phase of release: 33 hostages concerned
The first phase of the agreement, scheduled for the beginning of next week, provides for the release of 33 people, distributed as follows:
Women and children: Romi Gonen, Emily Damari, Arbel Yehud, Doron Steinbacher, members of the Bibas family (Ariel, Kfir and Shiri)
Soldiers : Liri Elbag, Karina Ariev, Agam Berger, Daniela Gilboa, Naama Levy
Men Over 50: Ohad Ben Ami, Gadi Moses, Keith Segal, Ofer Calderon, Eli Sharabi, Itzik Elgert, Shlomo Mansour, Ohad Yahalomi, Oded Lifshitz
Sick or injured people: Ten people identified, including Tzachi Idan and Yarden Bibas
Special cases: Two Israeli citizens (Hisham al-Sayed and Avera Mengistu) detained for more than 10 years
Second phase: 22 hostages waiting
A group of 22 Israelis awaits the later phases of the deal, including:
11 participants at the Nova festival
4 IDF soldiers
7 residents of border kibbutzim
7 foreign nationals including six Thai citizens and one Nepalese citizen
Confirmed casualties
36 people were declared dead, their bodies still being held by Hamas:
29 victims of October 7, including civilians and soldiers
5 hostages died in captivity
2 soldiers fallen in 2014 (Hadar Goldin and Oron Shaul)
