Khaled Bettine, CEO of Agil, who spoke on the program “Midi Show”, explained that the scarcity of domestic gas bottles in Tunisia is due to limited storage capacities, which, consequently, prevents large orders . As well as the orientation of this product towards unaffected people.
To put an end to this, Mr. Bettine ensures that the national company is working to expand its storage capacities and add new lines for filling domestic gas bottles.
In this context, no less than six ships carrying liquefied natural gas should soon dock in Tunisian commercial ports.
The CEO of Agil also explained that gas supply is done according to agreements with global suppliers, following a specific program defining the delivery dates and planned quantities.
-But Khaled Bettine points out the direction of domestic gas – normally intended for family use – towards unaffected people, which contributed to the shortage. To support his claims, he cites in particular individual taxi drivers and poultry farms during this sensitive period.
