Russian Mirra Andreeva, seeded No. 14, qualified for the round of 16 of the Australian Open, winning two sets to one (6-2, 1-6, 6-2) against the Polish Magdalena Frech, seeded n°23.

Andreeva, ranked 15th in the WTA, will face Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, seeded n°1 and double title holder, in one of the most exciting matches in the women’s draw.
