MrBeast: “TikTok, we have an offer ready for you”

While TikTok is threatened with ban in the United States as of January 19, 2025, MrBeast announced that he was ready to buy the application to prevent it from disappearing. It all started with a post on X on January 14. “Okay fine, I’ll buy TikTok so it doesn’t get banned,” wrote the most followed YouTuber in the world.

And if this first post could pass as a joke, the 26-year-old American added a few hours later: “No joke, many billionaires have contacted me since I tweeted that. Let’s see if we can pull this off.”

The next day, it was on TikTok that the one who privatized the pyramids of Egypt provided new information. “I just came from a meeting with a group of billionaires. TikTok, we are serious. We have an offer ready for you. We want to buy the platform. America deserves TikTok. Give me a seat at the table, let me save this platform,” James Stephen Donaldson, his real name, said in a video.
