“I’m really sorry for Putin. He doesn’t understand what’s going on”

The Russian governor of this region, Alexandre Gusev, reported Wednesday evening that a fire had broken out following the fall of “several drones” in this oil depot.

Videos, published by Russian media and on social networks, showed a large blaze.

As of Thursday morning, the fire was still burning and the number of firefighters battling the flames was increasing, he said in a new message, sharing a photo that shows firefighters trying to put out a large blaze.

“There is no danger for the civilian population and for the infrastructure of neighboring businesses,” he assured, however calling on residents to avoid getting closer to the depot when traveling in this area.

The strike caused no casualties, according to the governor.

He claimed that the area had been attacked by around ten drones, most of them targeting the Liskinska oil depot.

Almost every night, Russia and Ukraine launch dozens of drones to try to reach targets behind enemy lines, in particular to disrupt the logistics of the armed forces.
