In a thrilling encounter at the San Siro, Inter Milan’s impressive six-game winning streak came to an abrupt end as they were held to a 2-2 draw against Bologna in Serie A on Wednesday night.
The match started with a surprising twist as Bologna’s Santiago Castro found the net just 15 minutes after kick-off, deflecting a shot from close range and causing a wave of shock among the home crowd. However, the Nerazzurri responded quickly, equalizing in the 19th minute through Denzel Dumfries, who capitalized on a rebound after a powerful shot from Federico Dimarco was deflected by Bologna goalkeeper Lukasz Skorupski.
As the first half drew to a close, Lautaro Martinez showed off his finishing skills with a magnificent strike, guiding the ball into the top corner thanks to a smart pass from Dimarco, leaving Inter leading 2-1 at the break .

Back in the second half, Inter seemed to have lost their rhythm and Bologna took full advantage. Emil Holm put the teams level in the 64th minute, his low shot crucially deflecting off Nicolo Barella, ricocheting off the post and leaving the Inter defense trailing.
Despite a spirited effort, Inter failed to find the net again, with Bologna holding firm in defence. The draw leaves Simone Inzaghi’s men in second place with 44 points, three points behind championship leaders Napoli. Inter still have a game in hand after their match against Fiorentina was postponed due to an incident in which midfielder Edoardo Bove collapsed.
