A 37-year-old man was shot dead Wednesday morning in Saint-Charles-Borromée, in Lanaudière.
The victim was hit by firearm projectiles around 8 a.m., while he was in a black sports utility vehicle parked near a condo building, on Rang Double.
According to police documents obtained by our Bureau of Investigation, it is Antoine Margerie-Blais. He would be a member of a Hells Angels club based in Chertsey, in Lanaudière.

When the man was murdered in his car, a child under 4 years old was sitting in the back seat of the vehicle.
“Around 8 a.m., it was a resident who saw the man unconscious at the wheel of the vehicle. She heard a noise and discovered an uninjured child inside. [de la voiture]», indicated the spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), Éloïse Cossette.

The child was taken into care by the police.
The 37-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim had connections with certain criminal groups, confirmed the SQ, which invites anyone who witnessed the scene to contact them.
“The event occurred during the day, there were plenty of people who were able to observe suspicious individuals or suspicious vehicles. We invite these people to contact us,” said Agent Cossette.
An investigation is underway to determine the causes behind this murder.
