The body of a young woman was found floating in the water, on the beach of Petit-Havre, in Le Gosier, on December 1. Quickly, the public prosecutor of Pointe-à-Pitre, Caroline Calbo, indicated that “Based on the traces present on his body, a murder investigation was opened. The criminal brigade of the national police (DTPN) was seized of the investigation“. Louise, 26, from Sélestat, not far from Strasbourg, in cardio-respiratory arrest had been found by a surfer. She had been identified by her roommates present with her at the beach that day.
In a press release this Wednesday, January 15, the prosecutor indicates that “the numerous investigations carried out by the investigation service” made it possible “to identify a suspect, unrelated to the victim before the facts, and present on the scene at the time of crime.”
The 35-year-old man was arrested and taken into police custody at the beginning of the week (Monday January 13). If the suspect contested the facts, at the end of his police custody, in view of the elements of the file, the individual was brought before the investigating judge, indicted and placed in pre-trial detention, this Wednesday.
