a man found dead near Perpignan

It’s a family drama that has taken place during Christmas nightbetween Tuesday December 24 and Wednesday December 25 in the Pyrenees-Orientales, as revealed by our colleagues from the Independent. A man was found dead in his home, in the town of Pianear Perpignan. He apparently suffered a heart attack after hitting his partner.

He hits his wife in front of the children

The public prosecutor near the court of Perpignan, Jean-David Cavaillé, confirm the information to News Perpignan : “An investigation into the causes of death” was opened in Pia, and entrusted to the Pyrénées-Orientales gendarmerie, after the death of a man in his thirties.

This death is not linked to “any intervention by a third party”, but would have occurred in a context of domestic violence. According to the local daily, the man returned home in the middle of the night and attacked his partner, hitting her in front of her children.

Then had a heart attack

If the mother managed to escape and find safety, with her children, with a neighbor, her violent partner and “under the influence of narcotics” would have suffered a heart attack. The latter was inert when help arrived and could not be resuscitated. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
