The police headquarters unveiled security measures in preparation for the reception of the Israeli team at the Adidas Arena on Thursday in the Euroleague.

Not a match like any other. hosts Maccabi Tel Aviv at the Adidas Arena at Porte de la Chapelle on Thursday evening (8:30 p.m.), during the 22nd day of the Euroleague. A match classified as high risk by the national division for the fight against hooliganism (DNLH), as reported by AFP on Tuesday. On a scale of 1 to 5, the meeting was classified as risk level 4. This was due to the situation in the Middle East, marked by the war between Israel and the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas in Gaza. “In order to guarantee a safe and sporting environment on the evening of the match, no signs and/or political statements will be allowed in the arena for this match – as usual for all other matches”specifies the Police Prefecture in a press release this Tuesday, detailing the security measures.

And to continue: “No flags other than those of the two competing teams will be permitted. Any person breaking these rules or disrupting the smooth running of the match will be subject to sanctions and will be deprived of access to the sports venue or will be excluded. The police headquarters will deploy a security system to supervise the meeting, in order to prevent any disturbance to public order and guarantee the safety of spectators and athletes alike. Law enforcement will ensure a visible presence. No overflow will be tolerated”.
