The channel which hosted the broadcasts of the famous host and gastronomic columnist, who died on Friday January 10, 2025 at the age of 74, is paying tribute to him through very specific programming.
For at least thirty years, from Radio-France Clermont-Ferrand to France Inter and France 5, Jean-Luc Petitrenaud has shared his passion for cooking and French culinary traditions with the same enthusiasm, the same verve, the same pleasure in expressing his sensory emotions through words. Last Friday January 10, surrounded by his loved ones, he passed away.
In a press release, France Télévisions first welcomed “the memory and career of Jean-Luc Petitrenaud, a popular figure on our broadcasts, who left his mark on the world of discovery and gastronomy broadcasts from French regions (…). His famous ‘Gourmet postcards et ’Escapades’ have opened the way to highlighting the culinary riches of our regions and the know-how of producers and artisans who inspire the creativity of chefs. His mark has greatly contributed to the public’s passion for cooking.

La Cinq, which hosted most of his shows, also decided to pay tribute to him through exceptional programming, this Sunday, January 19, 2025, from 4:25 p.m. On the program: 2 episodes of “Escapades de Petitrenaud”. The first dedicated to Saint-Savin, during which the gastronomic columnist explored the culinary traditions of the Pyrenees alongside chef Jean-Pierre Martin. The second, which explores the world of Éric Frechon, starred chef.
Return to the initial schedule at 5:25 p.m., with the documentary “In the Shadow of Jackie Kennedy”. The 2 episodes of “Escapades” will be broadcast instead of “Without alcohol – Is the party crazier?”.
