SYRIA / ROJAVA – Human shields who came to protect the Tishrine dam against Turkish bombings begin their seventh day of vigil. This morning, the crowd dances and sings praises for the resistance of the Arab-Kurdish forces.
On January 8, a convoy of thousands of civilians from North and East Syria arrived at the Tishreen dam when it was threatened with destruction by Turkish-jihadist attacks. Since then, human shields have stood guard in front of the dam, despite continued attacks by Turkish mercenaries. Yesterday, a convoy carrying civilians from Deir-ez-Zor, Raqqa, Tabqa and Kurds expelled from Afrin and Shahba arrived at the dam to participate in the peaceful vigil.
