TELEVISION – The exchange came close to degenerating but the two protagonists remained courteous. Gad Elmaleh and Vincent Lindon were both guests on the show Daily on TMC this Tuesday, January 14 to promote their show and their new film respectively. But the discussion, although drowned in jokes, was tense, to the point where the actor apologized.

It all started as soon as the comedian arrived on set. Vincent Lindon, accompanied by Benjamin Voisin and Stefan Crepon for the film Fire, said to his neighbors: “It’s over, there’s no point, don’t try anything.” A little modesty, we crash, we listen. » Gad Elmaleh then recounts having failed the conservatory. Vincent Lindon replies: “It always feels chic when you’re a big star to say that you missed something. Can you imagine the talent I have? You made it through! I know it well. »

Laughter is heard on the set, but this pique announces others. Gad Elmaleh laughs: “He’s incredible. It’s true that it looks quite chic. This is false humility. I didn’t succeed but you see the journey I have! »

“I think we are evolving, yes. We all evolve”

The discussion then moves on to New Year’s wishes, with Gad Elmaleh joking about establishing a rule to stop celebrating the New Year after January 5 or 6. “I respond to everyone, I try to do something personalized so it takes me a while! » And the comedian bounces back: “At the same time he is an actor, he has time! » Again, laughter from the audience.

In the rest of the interview, Vincent Lindon keeps interrupting Gad Elmaleh who then blurts out: “Vincent, there was the interview for the film, now it’s my show. » The actor still manages to speak again by commenting on the poster for the stand-up entitled “Himself” by Gad Elmaleh, and the absence of a dot on the “i”.

The latter is then questioned about the reasons which pushed him to do humor. As he dives into a serious explanation about “evolution” on how to do his job, Vincent Lindon laughs and mocks: “I think we are evolving, yes. We all evolve. » Gad Elmaleh, a little annoyed, laughs yellow: “Wait, I’m going to finish. Can we remember the release date of his film? Vincent Lindon’s film comes out on the 22nd, I advise you to go see it. » On social networks, Internet users could not believe their ears as you can see below.

“I just got extremely exasperated”

The interview ended with a game called “Who said what?” “. “Who said: If I crossed paths, I would get extremely exasperated”then asks presenter Yann Barthes. Vincent Lindon reacted immediately. “That’s me. This evening, for example, I’m getting exasperated. I changed my mood a minute ago and it worked out well for me. It’s not my job to make people laugh and it was going well and I made a little mistake, I apologize to you”he then declared, addressing Gad Elmaleh.

“It was ridiculous all of a sudden to say well, you know, we’re evolving. He blew my nose well. And all of a sudden, it wasn’t visible, but the feet were like that in the shoes.”he explains, miming his curled toes. “I said to myself I have to catch up, I have to catch up, and I’m happy before I have cramps that the sentence that concerns me comes quickly! »he continues.

Sweating from the forehead, the actor assures that he “hates being smart”. “I may have exasperated him, but I just exasperated myself enormously,” he finishes, drawing laughter from the entire set and even from Gad Elmaleh. All’s well that ends well.
