Mediators have asked Hamas to respond to the “final” version of the Gaza ceasefire agreement that would open the door to the release of the hostages before midnight Monday evening, the broadcaster reported. information N12.

The television report also said that, according to anonymous sources, Hamas had given Qatari mediators a list of living hostages, as demanded by Israel, and that this list was likely seen by officials in Jerusalem.

He added, without citing his sources, that all the living and dead hostages who appeared on a list of 34 names – of women, children and elderly or infirm men – which was published last week will be released over the course of of the first phase of the agreement, which will last 42 days, if it materializes. (The list now has 33 names to actually consider – the lifeless body of hostage Youssef Ziyadne, 53, having been recovered by the Israeli army in a Gaza tunnel last week).

In exchange, there will be a “very significant” release of Palestinian prisoners incarcerated in Israel for endangering national security – many of them murderers. The army will withdraw from a large part of the Gaza Strip and displaced residents of the northern Gaza Strip will be able to return home.

The release of the hostages would begin a week after the truce comes into force.

According to the channel, talks on the second phase of the agreement will begin 16 days after its entry into force. Any hostages still alive – all men under the age of 50 – would be released during this phase.

Regarding Hamas’ demand to “end the war”, the channel clarified that such language is unlikely to be used and will instead refer to a “permanent ceasefire”. “.
