The price of gold today, January 14: suddenly fell

Today’s global gold price “evaporated” violently

During last night’s trading session, the world gold price sometimes reached 2.696 USD/ounce, but then suddenly fell. At 1 a.m. on January 14, the price of gold fell today by USD 33, reaching USD 2.663 per ounce.

Gold prices today fluctuated wildly as the USD index hit 109.35 points, helping the value of the dollar reach its highest level in the last 2 years.

On the other hand, bond interest rates have also increased up to almost 4.8%, motivating many people to invest capital in this investment channel. Since then, very little money has flowed into the gold market. The price of gold today presents additional unfavorable factors.

Under pressure from the dollar and US bonds, speculators might think that holding gold is disadvantageous. Since then, many people have sold gold to make a profit. The current gold price has naturally “evaporated” by several tens of dollars per ounce.

Analysts say the international gold market is fluctuating unpredictably because investors are concerned about financial stability ahead of Donald Trump’s return to the White House on January 20.

Previously, in Vietnam, the price of SJC gold at the end of January 13 was sold by banks for 1 million VND/tael. SJC company sells gold rings for 86.8 million VND/tael.
