A ceremony rich in symbols was held on January 13, 2025 at the Bamako International Conference Center. The President of the Transition, the General of the Army Assimi Goïtahe remitted a giant check for more than a billion CFA francs to young graduates of the 13th contingent of the Youth Employment Agency (APEJ). This strong gesture marks a turning point in the policy of supporting Malian youth.

An investment for the future of Mali

This program, which benefited 2,500 young people out of 23,755 candidates, made it possible to offer twelve-month internships in various sectors. “On this solemn day, we are proud to celebrate the consecration of Malian youth,” declared President Goïta, thus emphasizing the importance of this new generation for the future of the country.

The Malian Government, through the APEJimplements ambitious policies to promote professional integration of young people. The Minister of National Entrepreneurship, Employment and Vocational Training, Ms. Oumou Sall SECKpresented the numerous projects in progress, such as the opening of new training centers or the partnership with the private sector. “These programs reflect the Government’s desire to provide young Malians with the skills necessary for their socio-professional integration and empowerment,” she pointed out.

The beneficiaries of this program, like Yamadou CAMERAPresident of the 13th contingent, now feel equipped to contribute to the development of their country. “Thank you for the hope you give us. Thanks to this initiative, we feel valued and ready to take on the challenges that await us,” he expressed.

The President of the Transition concluded his speech by calling on young people to be agents of change. “Mali is counting on you! Be architects keen to put your talents at the service of the nation”, he said. The Government is committed to continuing its efforts in favor of youth, notably with the launch of new training programs in 2025.

This ceremony marks a turning point in the relationship between the Malian state and its youth. By investing in the training and employment of young people, Mali is laying the foundations for a more promising future.
