Another suspicious fire in Wellington South
“It is an abandoned building,” confirmed in a press release the spokesperson for the Sherbrooke Police Department, Martin Carrier.
No one was injured in the incident and the fire was quickly brought under control.
Following a fire in May 2023, the owner of the building requested permission from the City of Sherbrooke to demolish the building.
In her application to change zoning last June, the owner proposed building eight new apartments.
