It goes easily for Carlos Alcaraz
The Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz did not hang around for his entry into the Australian Open tennis tournament: the world No.3 beat the Kazakh Alexander Shevchenko (ATP 77) 6-1, 7-5, 6- 1 in 1 hour and 54 minutes.
Expeditious in the first set, won in less than half an hour, Alcaraz had to work hard in the second, during which he lost his serve twice and was trailing 3-5. He then showed himself to be uncompromising in the third, but still had to wait for his fifth match point to conclude the game.

The quarter-finals, reached last year, constitute his best result in Melbourne .
