A hell of a Christmas present. A couple, who wish to remain anonymous, won the Grand Loto de Noël jackpot, offered by Française des Jeux (FDJ). He won 20 million euros.

According to a press release from the FDJ, the man played Loto from time to time, when the jackpots were large. If he was used to playing his favorite numbers, for the draw on December 24, he decided to take a “flash” grid on the fdj.fr site. Chance therefore assigned him the numbers 9, 19, 37, 40, 44 and the lucky number 5.
Waking up on Christmas morning, the player checked his emails: “I found out I had won the jackpot. I was stunned! I walked around the house, unable to realize. » The man then woke up his wife: “She didn’t believe it. We spent the whole day watching the drawing broadcast with Jean-Pierre Foucault, to check again and again that the numbers matched. We still find it hard to believe it! »

“It was one of the few times I saw him cry. I have the impression that all this is unreal,” confided the winner, who came to collect her check with her husband at the FDJ premises. The man said that when he was little, his father won the jackpot while playing with colleagues. He had won around 50,000 euros. “Since then, I wanted to try my luck too,” explained the lucky winner.
-The couple already knows how they are going to use these 20 million euros. The two spouses intend to buy a new car, take great trips and please their children.
