Nargis. meeting in Nargis for the agricultural show.. The next agricultural show will take place on August 30 and 31 of this year in Ferrières-en-Gâtinais. The agricultural show is a rural festival which takes place every 7 years in the canton.
The last show in Ferrières-en-Gâtinais dates from 2016, a delay due to the Covid health crisis. This is the opportunity to hold plowing competitions, scarecrow competitions, decorated houses, and, a little new, tractor baptisms controlled by satellite. Competitions are open to individuals and schools. Farm openings are planned as well as the Miss Agricultural Show competition.
The famous parade of flower floats will involve all the municipalities of the canton and some associations (around twenty floats are expected). It is with the latter in mind that the mayor of Nargis, Pascal de Temmerman, accompanied by Jean-François Thoizon, farmer in Nargis and president of the agricultural show of the district of Montargis, had invited all those of good will to come participate on Tuesday in the development of the future float of the commune.
Out of the ordinary
-“We are going to try to do something out of the ordinary, different from what other municipalities have done,” the mayor explained to the volunteers. Around thirty people responded. A model was developed following the previous meeting. It remains to be determined how their wishes can be realized and by whom…
After a first group order made by the town of Ferrières-en-Gâtinais, all the little hands are asked to start making the flowers, a gigantic job. The Miss Comice competition is aimed at young girls aged 16 to 22. They can register now in their respective town halls.
