Those who shone
Jurenzo Julius – (7/10)
Normally, we don’t rate a player who only played 20 minutes. But it is clear that the back showed more things than his entire team combined, in one half of a half. Beyond his magnificent try, each of his ball catches brought danger to a Toulouse defense, which was very calm until his entry. No doubt he entered too late to reverse the trend of a match in which his team was shaken throughout the game, he had the merit of shaking things up a bit. And perhaps deprive Toulouse of an offensive bonus, forcing the Stadistes to defend more at the end of the match.

Those who disappointed
Makazole Mapimpi – (4/10)
Everyone knows the talent of the South African winger, who suffered some misfortune during the last autumn tour, but also during the last Rugby Championship. But he came across a bone, in the person of Blair Kinghornwho received his counterpart perfectly. Who only had crumbs to exploit and above all recovery balls in his own camp. In his defense, he had not touched a ball that he had at least two Toulouse residents on his heels. If the anti-Dupont plan was a fiasco, the anti-Mapimpi plan was a success. Which also explains the offensive disaster of the Sharks.

Peato Mauvaka – (7/10)
The hooker was certainly sometimes not imperial on certain keys. But his slaughter and his contribution throughout his hour of play were exceptional. Upon his release, he was the player who made the most tackles (12), a symbol of very high defensive activity. Offensively, he several times found gaps in the Sharks defense, initiating some interesting situations. We can possibly regret an avoidable penalty conceded, for an empty passage, while his team was in the advance and in the opponent’s camp. But the hooker once again had a high quality match. Always regular.
Antoine Dupont – (7/10)
The South Africans had announced an anti-Antoine Dupont. In five minutes and a first breakthrough from the scrum-half, this plan was shattered like a house of cards in a storm. In reality, the Toulouse player had fun several times, in the opposing gaps (5th, 23rd, 40+2). He tried hard to try to bring the ball to life out of the ruck, to energize his team’s play and try to create imbalances in the opposing defense. On the other hand, he was more discreet in the second half, especially in the last half hour, where he lost some ammunition. He undoubtedly paid off for the efforts of a strong first half.
Those who disappointed
Romain Ntamack – (5/10)
His match is not strictly bad, far from it. We can point out his defensive slaughter, just like his two “50-22”s found in the match, which offered two offensive ammunition. But in the transformation of the game, we have the right to expect a lot more from the French international. Who made several approximations, ball in hands. And who still seems to suffer in the transformation and direction of his team’s game.
Pierre-Louis Barassi – (5/10)
The center was not very prominent in the game. And made some small inaccuracies. A small lack of volume without consequence, but which may suggest that the Frenchman still has to climb a small step to become a very good player at international level.
