Tristan da Silva scored 25 points to lead the Orlando Magic to a 106-97 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Friday.
Goga Bitadze had a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds for the Magic (21-15). Kentavious Caldwell-Pope added 15 points.
Jalen Suggs left the field in a wheelchair with three minutes left in the first half after he collapsed on the court, holding his back.
Jakob Poeltl led the Raptors (8-27) with 25 points. Scottie Barnes had 20 points and nine rebounds.
Immanuel Quickley had 11 points and 11 assists in his second game since returning from an elbow injury.
RJ Barrett, originally from Mississauga, Ontario, missed the Raptors’ last two games due to an undisclosed illness.
The Raptors’ optimal starting lineup of Barrett, Quickley, Barnes, Poeltl and Gradey Dick has yet to play together this season.
The Raptors will play their next game on Monday, when they will host the Milwaukee Bucks (17-15).
Suggs leaves in wheelchair
Magic guard Jalen Suggs left the game in a wheelchair due to back spasms in the first half.
Suggs tripped while playing defense without any contact and fell, clutching his lower back. He lay there for several minutes before being helped up and into the wheelchair.
Suggs covered his face with a towel as he left the field.
Early in the third quarter, the Magic declared that Suggs would not return. He scored six points in 13 minutes.
The fifth overall pick in the 2021 draft, Suggs averaged 16.8 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.8 assists for the Magic.
Orlando was already without forward Paolo Banchero and forward Franz Wagner, both recovering from right oblique injuries. They were among six Magic players unavailable tonight.
