Don’t miss the release of the first album of the Trio Haydée, formed by Marielou Jacquard (chant), Anastasie Lefebvre de Rieux (flute), Constance Luzzati (harp). Training is rare; CLASSIQUENEWS has distinguished the first 2 solo albums of the excellent harpist Constance Luzzati.
The new program (published by the British label Voces8) offers a choice of luminous variations designed by several composers, from the 19th to the 21st centuries: the best known Viardot, Canat de Chizy, some to discover such as Gouirand-Gentil, Grandval, Wertheim…with unpublished gems by Lejet, Fabregas, et al; without forgetting the commission placed with the composer Josephine Stephenson and the author-illustrator Diglee. Publication announced on February 7, 2025.
Lights, skies ablaze, from dusk to dawn, the sun at sunrise or sunset diffuses its celestial gold, its sparkling coral creating inspiring landscapes dotted with golden hues. This is the subject of this program, as musical as it is poetic, rich in pictorial images and sounds… composed by a new trio, the Trio Haydée, for voice, flute and harp. The selected works mark out a journey of feminine musical pearls, signed Pauline Viardot and Louis-Zoé Gouirand-Gentil for the oldest composers; but also the cycles of 3 poems set to music by Grace Williams, Rosy Wertheim, or Elisenda Fabregas… without omitting the pieces with eloquent, suggestive titles combining voice, flute and harp: “Litanie” (Canat de Chizy), “Pantoum” ( Roesgen-Champion), “Villanelle (De Granval), “Aube” by Josephine Stephenson, or “De Lumière et de ciels flamsés” for harp alone by Edith Lejet…
