This small sports SUV uses the eCMP platform from the Stellantis group, used by the Peugeot e-2008 in particular. It also recovers the eMotor used in Formula E combined with batteries with a capacity of 51 kWh net (54 kWh gross) at 400 volts. Despite a weight of 1,640 kg, the 600e Scorpionissima accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.8 seconds and offers a top speed of 200 km/h. Superior performance to its French competitor, the Alpine A290. The promised autonomy at senator’s pace is 322 km. Fast charging is disappointing with a maximum power of 100 kW.
Abarth didn’t just install a big engine. The 600e benefits from large 380mm front discs clamped by Alcon 4-piston calipers, housed in large 20-inch rims. Then, it is equipped with a firmer suspension supplemented with thickened anti-roll bars and shock absorbers with hydraulic stops.
-Finally, between the driveshafts is a Torsen limited-slip differential. On board, the Scorpionissima version features Sabelt seats with side bolsters and electrical adjustments. Exhaust noise synthesis produces a fairly realistic sound through the speakers.
The Caradisiac moment: too bad
Already tested by us, this Abarth 600 e presents itself as a real small sports SUV. The concern remains the too short autonomy which prohibits the Abarth from this versatility which has contributed to the success of the small sports cars. It will be difficult to reach 200 km in one charge and the charging speed, which is too tight, will not be able to counterbalance this defect. As for its price? Dissuasive because it flirts with €50,000 for this scoprionissima version.
