The new Miss 2025 was the guest of Sud Radio this Wednesday, January 8, 2025. In the midst of commemorations of the Charlie Hebdo attack, the latter preferred “not to comment” on the right to blasphemy in the country.

The new Miss France 2025, Angélique Angarni-Filopon, was the guest of Sud Radio this Thursday, January 9. As the country commemorates the tragic attacks ten years ago in France, she was called upon to say a few words about the attack on Charlie Hebdo.

“Are you Charlie?”asks the journalist. “I don’t comment”she replies, visibly uncomfortable. Then the radio host asks her if she thinks that in France we have the right to blasphemy. After a few seconds of silence, she slips, embarrassed: “I prefer not to comment.”

“A miss must be apolitical”

A few minutes earlier, still on the microphone of Sud Radio, Angélique Angarni-Filopon explained that she preferred not to comment on subjects relating to politics, “because a miss must be apolitical, everyone has an opinion, I have mine, I prefer to keep it to myself”.

As relayed BFMTV, Angélique Angarni-Filopon still agreed to tell the context in which she learned of the attack at Chalie Hebdo in 2015.

“I remember that afterwards we had to go shopping and the atmosphere was very, very heavy, we all stayed together and I think that evening we said to each other ‘I love you’, we switched off television, we listened to the music, we sat down and tried to laugh but the atmosphere was very heavy”
