New victims. Israel has recovered the bodies of Youssef and Hamza al-Zayadna, two Israeli hostages held captive in the Gaza Strip by Hamas members since the October 7 attack, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced on the X network , Wednesday January 8.

“I would like to express my deepest condolences to the al-Zayadna family following the discovery of the bodies of Youssef and Hamza, who were kidnapped by Hamas terrorists on October 7 and brought back thanks to a heroic operation by our brave soldiers “wrote the minister on X. “The pain of the al-Zayadna family is the pain of all of us, and the memory of Youssef and Hamza will not be forgotten.”

During the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, 251 people were taken hostage. According to a December 22 count, of this total, 96 hostages remained held in Gaza, 34 of whom had been declared dead by the Israeli army.
