The future American president criticizes Canadians for taking advantage of the largesse of the United States. The two countries together, “it would really be something,” imagined the septuagenarian, for his first press conference of the year from his Florida residence at Mar-a-Lago. “If we got rid of the artificially drawn line and looked at what that would look like, national security would be much better off. I have a lot of friends there and Canadians are great, but we spend hundreds of billions to protect them.”
