In 2018, Figaro Live went to interview Jean-Marie Le Pen in his offices. On this occasion, he returned to his relationship with his daughter, Marine and his relationship… to death.
“I thought about my epitaph”Jean-Marie Le Pen confided in an interview on May 7, 2018 with Figaro Live. The day before his 90th birthday, the controversial politician spoke about his relationship with death in his offices in Montretout. “I wish to die honorably and if possible not to suffer too much”he emphasized, adding that he wanted to keep the date and causes of his disappearance private.
“I would probably be in the small cemetery of La Trinité-sur-Mer in my family vault. (…) I thought of a marble plaque marked Jean-Marie since I would be in the Le Pen tomb”he said soberly, and concluded: “There is no need to say my name, just my first name”.
